Fenland is a rural district with limited public services, overstretched health provision, and constrained transport links, and it is not an appropriate location for large‑scale placements.
Our community has consistently raised concerns about the impact that such accommodation would have on local infrastructure, policing capacity, school places, and already‑pressured NHS services. Fenland has some of the highest deprivation levels in Cambridgeshire, and placing additional strain on essential services would be unfair to both residents and those seeking support.
